The Kings Sons Quartet
Tommy Foster, Jim Grimes, Bill Smithers, Bill Burns More than 35 years ago A Southern Gospel quartet was born in Arlington, Texas. The group consisted of Tommy Foster as lead, Bill Smithers as tenor, Jim Grimes as bass, and Bill Burns as baritone.
They traveled across the United States in a remodeled 1947 Greyhound bus singing songs from Hovie Lister and The Statesmen Quartet, The Blackwood Brothers Quartet, and Oak Ridge boys era.
Jim Grimes, Tommy Foster, Bill Smithers, Bill Burns Now after more than 35 years they have reunited with the exact same personnel. Bill, Tommy, Jim and Bill are having the time of their lives. Having not seen each other in 35 years it was a joy to resume singing together. It was as if they had picked up right where they left off. Some of them have been appearing and singing solo. Now they are singing together again as a group.
